Wild Stuff at the Disco
Yesterday was the last day at our camp, and the final disco too. They extended it until 3 a.m. (usually it starts at 9:00 p.m. and ends at 10:15 p.m.). And at first everything was as usual — some people were dancing, some were running around, some were talking, nothing unusual. But around after 1 a.m., all kinds of crazy stuff started happening — around 1:20, when I was just dancing, a girl from the first squad (15–17 years old) came up behind me and bit me on the elbow (as it later turned out, she was playing "either/or" with a friend and got "either bite a random person on the elbow or kiss the gym teacher"), then a girl from the eighth squad (7–8 years old) jumped on my back and, shouting "gallop, gallop, my little horse," started kicking me in the sides with her legs, then someone connected to the speaker and turned on "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" as an audiobook (by the way, that’s my favorite part, so everyone thought it was me), there was also a boy who came up to me 6 times and asked what squad I was in, and at the end of the disco he came up and was like, "I remembered what squad you’re in — you’re in the second one," and there was also a boy who invited me to a slow dance (I agreed purely out of politeness, because I find the possibility of having a boyfriend disgusting (at least at that age)), and then for the rest of the disco he followed me around, tried to hug me (by force), offered me some sandwiches and water, and asked for my number 4 times (I refused all 4 times), and in the end, toward the end of the disco, it seemed like he’d finally left me alone, but it turned out he got my number and the city I live in from a girl in my squad. He was texting me all night today, and in the morning he tried to call. I blocked him, so I hope he’ll leave me alone (to be honest, I’m already a bit scared of him). But on the bright side, this evening I’m going to another camp (a tent camp), and there won’t be any discos there at all (maybe that’s for the best)
