NASA's first full Earth image from deep space in 54 years
NASA has published, the first in 54 years, an image of our entire planet Earth. This frame was taken by an astronaut from the Orion spacecraft, which is now heading to the Moon.
The last time the Earth was captured in its entirety from deep space was in 1972 during the Apollo 17 mission. Since then, such images have been assembled from numerous frames taken from low Earth orbit
