Secret Deaths and Disappearances of American Scientists Linked to Space and Nuclear Programs and UFOs
In the United States, anxiety is growing around a series of mysterious deaths and disappearances of leading scientists involved in space and nuclear programs, some of which were related to UFO research.
Since 2023, at least eight specialists have died or vanished under unclear circumstances, causing a stir in online communities and forcing the White House to respond publicly, Fox News reports.
For example, 59-year-old Michael David Hicks, who worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) from 1998 to 2022, died on July 30, 2023. The official cause of his death is not disclosed. According to The Daily Mail, Hicks participated in the DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) project, which studied the physical properties of asteroids and comets and the possibility of deflecting them in space.
53-year-old Milissa Cassias from the Los Alamos National Laboratory (New Mexico) went missing on June 26, 2025. She was developing nuclear weapons.
Former U.S. Air Force Major General, 68-year-old William Mackland, disappeared on February 27, 2026. He previously served as head of the Air Force Research Laboratory and was linked to the Los Alamos Center. The man may have had access to top‑secret information concerning UFOs.
Several other cases of death and disappearance of specialists from nuclear laboratories, space centers, and defense facilities are known. In some cases, it involves missing personnel, in others—murders or sudden deaths under secret circumstances. On the eve of their disappearance, some of them left home without money or documents and were never seen again.
When asked by a Fox News correspondent about the rising number of deaths and disappearances of physicists, Trump press secretary Caroline Livitt said she had not personally discussed these incidents with the relevant agencies, but promised to contact them and provide an answer. She emphasized that the authorities would consider the situation worthy of attention and detailed examination.
