Meta patented the "dead internet"
Patent granted for AI (more precisely, for a "large language model") that mimics user activity on a social network if that user, for some reason, no longer uses that social network.
The possible functionality includes both "stupid likes", commenting, and even sending replies to private messages.
Meta is not the only one heading in this direction...
The commercial sense of this mess is not obvious to me personally and is repulsive.
