Enhanced Games on Steroids in Las Vegas
Today in Las Vegas, USA, the first “Enhanced Olympic Games” (“Enhanced Games”). According to the organizers, athletes will compete in three disciplines: swimming, running, weightlifting. In these sports competitions participants are allowed to take steroids and other substances, which are banned in professional sports. US authorities are not yet blocking the project, which is funded by Donald Trump’s son and billionaire Peter Thiel.
The new “Olympic Games”, “where anything goes”, was invented by Australian Aaron D’Suz as an alternative to the “classic” Olympics.
In the list of participants, as indicated on the competition website, Russian
swimmer Evgeny Somov, who competed under a neutral status in the 2024 Summer
Olympics, is listed. Icelandic Hafthor Bjornsson, known for his role as the Mountain knight in “Game of Thrones”, will compete in weightlifting. A total of 50 participants will vie for the prizes, deciding themselves whether to “enhance” before performing.
