Aliens, really?
The mysterious space object 3I/ATLAS from another star system passed by the Sun and is already heading toward Jupiter. Astrophysicists around the world, as well as Russian scientists from the IKI RAS, have found that the body not only did not disintegrate when approaching the Sun, as is typical for all comets, but also is gaining speed to travel through the Solar System. Earlier, astrophysicist Avi Leb announced an unusual trajectory of this body and suggested that the comet might actually be a spacecraft from another star system. Also, two powerful jets from this object appear mysterious, extending for hundreds of thousands of kilometers. They are too large for outbursts that a comet with a limited ice supply could produce. It was these features that prompted Harvard University professor Avi Leb to propose the possibility of an artificial origin of the object — a hypothesis that most specialists, however, did not support.
