[моё] Final version of the castle: low-poly rocks and snow in Blender
I’ve completely disappeared from this platform, so it’s time to come back! Maybe someone remembers that I promised to show the final version of the castle I was making — well, here it is! There were no problems with the buildings themselves, but there were major issues with the rocks and snow. I’ve never made rocks before, and sculpting them wasn’t possible because of the polygon limit and the overall file size. So I resorted to the low-poly method, and luckily the client liked it. And the snow... unfortunately, the add-on didn’t work in version 4.5, since it’s supported only in version 4.2, and on top of that, because of the size of the scene itself, it just wouldn’t lay down correctly. So we used a gradient blending method in the required areas. But even there, it wasn’t that simple! It turned out I had done everything a little incorrectly and all the objects were in negative axes, along with flipped vertices, but everything was fixed quickly and we got this wonderful result~
