Step 1: Find Broken Key A

First, you need to talk to Jevil himself to start the quest, and then obtain the first key piece.

  • In the Card Castle, get into the elevator and select floor ?????.

  • Descend the long staircase down to the prison cell. Talk to the voice behind the bars — Jevil will say he needs a key.

  • Now head to Seam's Shop — it's a fluffy one-eyed vendor at the very beginning of the Dark World.

  • Talk to him about the “strange prisoner”. After the conversation, Seam will give you Broken Key A (Broken Key A).

  • Go to the fast travel point in the Forest.

  • You need to find a room with a hidden passage at the bottom of the screen (where the little ballerina circles dance).

  • Pass through the invisible passage in the southern wall. You’ll enter a secret area with a chest.

  • Open it — inside is Broken Key B (Broken Key B).

  • In the Card Castle, find the floor with a suit riddle (right before Rouxls Kaard’s room).

  • You need to input the correct suit combination to remove the barrier. From left to right the correct order is:
    Diamond (Diamonds) ➔ Heart (Hearts) ➔ Club (Clubs) ➔ Spade.

  • Take from the chest Broken Key C (Broken Key C).

  • Head back to Rouxls Kaard in his shop in the Card Castle.

  • Ask him to repair the key. He will combine the pieces, and you’ll receive the Door Key (Door Key).

Step 2: Obtain Broken Key B

The second piece is hidden in the Forest maze (Forest).

Step 3: Solve the riddle and take Broken Key C

The third piece is located in the castle, but the way to it is blocked by a riddle with card suit symbols.

Step 4: Assemble the Door Key

Now that you have all three broken pieces (A, B, and C) in your inventory, you need to repair them.

Step 5: Battle

Return by elevator to floor ?????, approach the chamber and use the key.

Pre‑battle tip: This is the toughest boss in Chapter One. Be sure to visit Seam’s shop and stock up on the best food (Darkburgers), and don’t forget to grab Choc Diamond and Top Cake (or Spin Cake) if you haven’t used them yet. Equip Kris, Susie and Ralsei with the best armor and weapons.
