This does not mean there are exactly 10,000 on the site — many accounts are inactive, the first 3,000 are probably historical, dating back to 2007, some have been banned or deleted, but nevertheless the counter is never reset and has counted the 10,000th one :).

Cool, maybe we should give her a cool achievement for that?😁

In my opinion, dead accounts are better off being deleted. As for the subscription count in general... it’s not that great, especially when a bot farm is unleashed on it.
But the number of real active users is what matters!

It's not so clear-cut there; among them there are also half-dead ones, and some at least read or visit. And there’s a chance that someone will come back (I left links on related resources — there’s a chance), even if so, then taking everything down is a complete loss of opportunity. Otherwise, they just sit there and don’t really bother anyone. There’s no overhead for that either.
