What do you think, is it okay to wear bright clothes to a funeral, or should you still follow tradition and wear black? As for me, I think you should wear whatever you want, and mourning clothes are already an outdated tradition. And I think most people wouldn’t mind if their family/friends came in what they like and what they’re comfortable in. And one more question right away - how do you feel about shorts at funerals? Personally, I think if it’s hot there, it’s better to wear shorts than stand there in pants and think not about the deceased, but about how hot you are. And my family came to the conclusion that shorts are acceptable, but only for men 

Well, closed clothing makes sense if the cemetery is in a forest or somewhere else in nature: thorny plants, insects. I think if the deceased left notes about this, you can decide what to wear based on that, but clothing that is too bright or revealing is perceived by relatives as disrespect, and after all it's important to be with the living; the dead have no business.
