Scam on Amazon: instead of RTX 5090 buyers received waist bags.
A Chinese seller listed RTX 5090 graphics cards on Amazon for $999 — instead, 42 buyers were sent waist bags. Until December 2025 the company sold only gym bags and fitness elastics.
- Tom's Hardware drew attention to an advertisement from Fitter's Niche Direct, a company registered in China. The “Niche graphics card Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 5090” is being sold for $999. NVIDIA had set the original price at $1999, and because of tariffs and the AI hype it increased even more.
- Buyers in reviews complain that instead of a graphics card they received a solid‑colored waist bag. Amazon delays the return because the product does not match the listing in the store. A total of 42 people bought the item.
- The company sells gym bags for $11 and fitness elastics for $11 and $12. Negative comments and accusations of fraud began to appear on December 28, 2025, after the RTX 5090 listing appeared. Until then the seller's rating was 99% based on 1800 reviews.
- In May 2025 NVIDIA raised chip prices, including the RTX 5090 graphics card, due to rising production costs, tariffs, and tightening trade conditions between the US and China. Prices increased by 5‑10%.
